"The United States needs to restore the basic principles of the Founding Fathers and President Ronald Reagan’s small-government ideals to pull itself out of its quagmire of inefficiency, stagnation, and corruption." - John Fund [ Newsmax by Amy Woods & Kathleen Walter] www.newsmax.com/Headline/John-Fund-supercommittee-Reagan/2011/11/20/id/418615?s=al&promo_code=D8EC-1"Elect people of character, do pay attention to people of character, because their character in the past is probably a guideline to their character in the future. Make government smaller, make the opportunities for corruption smaller. You know, Solyndra and all of these horrible Energy Department scandals, where taxpayers’ money was flushed down ratholes to companies that Obama donors often were involved in. If the government hadn’t set itself up as the green energy czar, dictating how billions and billions of dollars were going to flow out to dubious green energy projects that hadn’t been proven, you wouldn’t have had that corruption. The way to reduce corruption in Washington is to keep government smaller, and hopefully, even smaller than it is today.” - John Fund

For 3 years, I have wondered where the "transparecy" is with this administration! Almost everything has been done behind closed doors, and the "wheeling and dealing" has continued....so Obama hasn't fulfilled one of his promises, of "change".
This "super committee" was doomed to failure even before they began their quibbling BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! From all that I've heard, it sounds as if there was a line in the sand between the Democrats and Republicans. Even though the Republicans DID make some effort to compromise, the Democrats kept on raising the goal posts and wouldn't budge on spending or tax cuts. In fact, the Democrats called for higher taxes! It has been nothing but a game, especially for the Democrats, who are now blaming the Republicans for not compromising! What a farce!
If Obama is re-elected, we are doomed to another 4-year term of ineptitude, inexperience, crony politics, higher taxes, higher unemployment, and an even larger roster of federal government employees! IF....and that's a big IF....a Republican wins the presidency, and IF the Republicans become the majority party in the Senate, they're going to earn every nickel that they make while trying to un-do what has been done to this nation!
